Age is only a Number (11/40 Challenge)

Good morning Crafters!

I have a quick little card for you today.  It was my aunts birthday on the 7th and she's not really the cutesy person so thought I'd do a little, easy to post, light comedy card.

Because I was having to post this card I decided to leave the inside blank so that it was lightweight and narrow to post.

Hope Your Day is Sweet (10/40 Challenge)

Had a little play today with some velum.

I decided I wanted to put a butterfly in a jar but it to look a bit fuzzy as if looking through an actual jar so I stamped the image on plain white paper and coloured it.  Then I stamped the jar image onto velum and used embossing powder to make it stand out.  I carefully added PVA glue dots under the black lines to hide the glue and set the velum down over the top of the image.  I think it turned out ok - so I might try similar ideas again in the future.

What do you think?  Did it work?

Happy Birthday (9/40 Challenge)

Good Evening Crafters!

Just a quick reminder post to say that we are half way through our current challenge at Friday Sketch Challenge.

You can find my DT card here, but for today I have just used a quick card using another freebie from Beccy's Place.

I wanted to do a simple little CAS card and I think this beautiful script works so well.

The flower looks beautiful coloured in to add a splash of colour.
